Welcome to the Toshi Ninja Skills program, tailor-made for the most enthusiastic learners aged four to six. Their innate love for creativity and problem-solving presents a prime opportunity for martial arts instruction.

However, a challenge arises as they are often misjudged to possess the same level of competencies as older children. Despite their progressiveness, they are still developing the necessary skills to match their peers aged seven and above.

Our solution is a bespoke program that fits their unique developmental stage, fuels their intellectual and social curiosity, and simultaneously builds a foundation for success.

We have found remarkable success with our structured program, which introduces martial arts through the lens of age-appropriate skills training.

Here's an outline of our understanding of four to six-year-old children's developmental stages:

Physically, they're still exploring how to control their bodies and muscles, which often leads to frequent falls during continuous motion. They have begun to develop core, arm, leg, and abdominal strength, but there's much more to gain.

It's expected that they will initially grapple with executing multiple kicks beyond five repetitions and might demonstrate less refined technique during exercises.

Our program aims to help them perform high repetitions of kicks without dropping their foot and maintain good technique while performing beyond ten reps of static, active, and dynamic exercises.

Intellectually, they might initially struggle with remembering more than three commands or distinguishing between their left and right. They may get confused when asked to do more than three things at once or when following multi-command instructions involving left and right orientation.

Our program is designed to enhance their ability to retain three or more commands simultaneously and execute various left and right combinations efficiently.

Emotionally, their focus is often directed towards what brings them joy. They might find it hard to restrain their enthusiasm. They may lose focus and shut down when they are unhappy or struggle to control their bodies when excessively excited. Our program's goal is to help them maintain focus even when it's difficult and learn to manage their bodies and power, especially when they are excited.

Socially, they cherish playing with others, but can be intensely competitive. They might initially display poor sportsmanship when involved in competitive activities. The program aims to promote healthy teamwork, discouraging cheating, fostering grace in loss, and humility in victory.

By comprehending these developmental stages, we have curated eight age-appropriate skills that make up the Toshi Ninja Skills program:

FOCUS
TEAMWORK
CONTROL
MEMORY
BALANCE
DISCIPLINE
FITNESS
COORDINATION

Each class focuses on one of these skills, involving a warm-up, a mat chat about the skill, two or three skill drills, fun game style learning.

In conclusion, the Toshi Ninja Skills program takes martial arts training to a new level. It employs fundamental aspects of traditional martial arts curricula to develop skills suitable for four to six-year-olds.

This journey is not overly easy or challenging, but rather a balanced experience for your child.

Furthermore, the skills they acquire from the Toshi Ninja Skills program will benefit them in all areas of life. We invite you to join us and witness your child's transformative growth and development.
